2014-2015 Incorporating the Mathematical Practices into the Middle and High School Classroom

The Virtual Lecture Series' are an initiative of Illustrative Mathematics to increase school and district exposure to national experts on a variety of PD topics.  The theme of the winter-spring 2015 series was "Incorporating the Mathematical Practices into the Middle and High School Classroom."  The intended audience for this series is classroom teachers, mathematics coaches, district and state level math experts, or math teacher leaders that develop or facilitate professional development.

The format of Virtual Lecture Series is an hour long session each month.  Each session featured a national expert as a guest speaker.  The speaker presents for approximately 40 minutes followed by 20 minutes of question and answer from participants.  A URL for the series using Adobe Connect will be emailed to registered participants prior to the first lecture.  You can attend the series live and have the opportunity of asking questions, or view the recording of the talk if you are unable to attend the specific time.  Recordings will only be available to registered participants.

This Virtual Lecture Series will meet at 7pm Eastern time on Thursdays and feature the following experts:
